In 2009, the prestigious multinational automotive manufacturing company approached Amrop Turkey with the potential need of recruiting Executive Board Member. Our client was looking for a top level executive with strong automotive manufacturing experience who would be directly reporting to the expatriate CEO of the company.
Based on the principle of “360° search”, Amrop conducted an A to Z search within all the top-executives in automotive manufacturing industry in Turkey as well as those working on international assignments abroad.
Amrop identified and attracted five top-level candidates. The client company expressed that they were impressed by the quality of the shortlist candidates. At the end of the process, they chose the candidate who was the Acting General Manager of a leading local automotive manufacturing company with an experience of 20 years. As an indicator of Amrop’s good job, he was assigned as the CEO of the company rather than “Executive Board Member”. It was the first time in history of the company that a Turkish CEO was assigned. Also, following the completion of that assignment, Amrop placed two executive level positions for the company in coming months. Last but not the least; the client company shared its willingness to work with Amrop globally.
