In 2010, for our global market leader client, we were requested to search for a General Manager. The new appointed Regional Director of Europe South and Emerging Markets audited the company and wanted a profitable growth, and urgent market share. The replacement of the General Manager should be executed at high confidentiality and urgently, since by a new code of the Government, energy consumption-dependent billing was becoming obligatory and the market for our Client would grow rapidly.
During our search, we have targeted professionals, who possess General Management and/or Sales & Marketing experience as first Line Directors with P&L responsibility in the Building Materials sector. We have generally evaluated professionals from Turkish and multinational heating/cooling system, elevator, building technology, building products firms and major Turkish and multinational service provider firms.
As a result after only three weeks, we have presented our Client three valuable short-list candidates. Our Client was fully satisfied with all of the candidates and offered one of them the General Manager role. The Client was so pleased with the quality of work and our fast pace that they have contacted Amrop’s other offices in Europe to request other searches.
This assignment illustrates that Amrop Turkey with its effective research strategy and extensive command of the market, could identify and attract the right-fit candidate for the position even in a considerably short period of time.
