In 2007, Amrop Turkey was assigned the task of finding a Country Manager for a Turkish subsidiary of an international alluminium company. The company had suffered a long period of unsatisfactory performance with its existing Country Manager. To quickly solve the problem, Amrop Turkey was asked to quickly find a new Country Manager.
In collaboration with the client, Amrop defined the job description, aiming for a candidate which would pave the way for further development of the company. The new Country Manager had to be a dynamic and sales-oriented character with strong financial backbone. The Country Manager had to demonstrate leadership from day one in terms of reforming his team and strengthening the company’s image in the market.
Furthermore, the Country Manager would need considerable experience within the construction industry, preferably in the aluminium sector with a proven track record in sales management harmonized with technical understanding.
Amrop Turkey carried out an in-depth search within the construction industry and identified and attracted qualified candidates in a highly confidential search approach. The assignment was completed within 8 weeks with the placement of a candidate with a strong sales management and technical background from aluminium business in both local and international areas.
The new Country Manager subsequently effected a turnaround in the company, both strengthening the management team and developing the success of the company by improving sales.
