Amrop was assigned to find several C Suite Directors for a mobile operator company. At the search for CMO, the aim of the company was to increase its market share against the strong competition. In collaboration with the client, Amrop defined the job description, aiming for a candidate who would ensure the growth in the market.
The new CMO had to be a result oriented and mature professional with strong communication skills combined with the broad business understanding and significant Marketing and Sales know-how. The CMO has to be able to demonstrate leadership from day one and who was successful in translating business strategy into clearly defined objectives to overachieve the company goals.
What was critical about the assignment was the search process influenced by more than one stakeholder which meant that Amrop had to consider the wishes and candidate criteria of the different professionals coming from different cultures.
Amrop conducted an A to Z search within several industries mainly in Telecom and FMCG, identifying marketing executives deemed to match the exacting requirements. In line with the principle of “360° search”, professionals working on international assignments abroad were also screened; Amrop met candidates from all over Europe. The assignment was completed with the recruitment of a candidate from the Financial sector with strong communication skills and hands-on personality conjoining his managerial experience in marketing management.
This assignment illustrates how Amrop is capable of understanding and taking into account the various requirements from the stakeholders involved as well as of delivering a perfect solution where the candidate exceeds the client’s expectations.
